As the Premier League season heads toward October, its five games down in the new season, as this weekend Gameweek 6 rolls into view.
With the goals continuing to flow, few could argue the English top flight is now the ultimate in entertainment and it is goals where we look to once again.
Gameweek 5 saw both Mo Salah and Jamie Vardy drop the ball, and after coming up short by one in the Europa League, can we get the triple home this week?
Here is BestofBets’ Gameweek 6 Goalscorer Treble @ 20/1 with BetUK.
Kai Havertz
Out first leg of the treble focuses on the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal look to maintain their impressive form as Leicester travel to the capital, and Kai Havertz is poised.
As good as the Gunners have been defensively, in the league, Mikel Arteta’s men have not netted more than two in a game. That could change in Gameweek 6.
Havertz is proving the ultimate team player for Arsenal, but the German has not found the net since Brighton visited almost a month ago.
The Foxes have proved pluckier individuals than man expected, but in their two road games thus far this term – both in the capital – conceded twice to Fulham and Palace respectively.
Havertz remains the first choice starter for Arsenal, and this weekend we expect his mini-drought to come to an end.
Nicolas Jackson
As many critics as Chelsea may have drawn from their off-field and boardroom antics, the Blues appear to have struck on a winning formula, not least Nicolas Jackson.
With the threat of Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix waiting in the wings, the Ivorian has been in great nick to start the term, notching four in five.
Last time out at the London Stadium, Jackson looked his best in a Blues shirt yet, as Brighton make the trip from the south coast in Gameweek 6.
Grabbing a brace at West Ham, Jackson for the first time looked like a real number 9 but having yet to open his scoring account at Stamford Bridge this term, will look to rectify that matter.
Scoring in his first game against Brighton in last season’s 3-2 Carabao Cup win, Jackson looks more than capable of adding to his total against the Seagulls.
Chris Wood
After a sensational start to the season, Nottingham Forest’s defeat to fellow-impressers Brighton was a setback, but not to be outdone, Chris Wood continues to shine for the Tricky Trees.
It’s now three goals in five for the Kiwi striker, who seems to score on alternating Gameweeks this term (GW1, GW3 and GW5).
However, as Forest host Fulham this Saturday, it’s worth noting two of Wood’s three strikes have come at the City Ground and we believe he can buck that trend of scoring every other game.
Wood has always been a very capable man to lead the line, but now, under Nuno Espirito Santo, he looks a far different proposition; strong, and confident in front of goal.
In the case of the visiting Whites, since opening day loss to Manchester United, Marco Silva’s men are unbeaten, but have conceded in every league game.
That should give Wood – who intriguingly was handed penalty duties by Morgan Gibbs-White last weekend – and his backers, enough belief to see his tally go to four.
