  • Premier League | Newcastle v Wolves

Premier League | Newcastle v Wolves

Newcastle head into this one in fantastic form whereas Wolves are far from comfortable as they flirt with the relegation zone. The Magpies’ star man Aleksander Isak has been in sensational goalscoring form, finding the back of the net in his last seven Premier League matches. The swede also netted in the EFL Cup semi-final away against Arsenal before feeling a tweak in his hamstring which saw him rested on the weekend. For this tip, you can’t look past Newcastle scoring in both halves against a weak Wolves defence at 1.83 odds.

    Isak to Break Vardy’s Record?

As mentioned, Isak is on a seven match goalscoring run which is only 4 games away from matching Jamie Vardy’s infamous and iconic Premier League record. The Newcastle striker has a terrific record at St James’ Park throughout his tenure at the club. He has 13 goals this season and after being rested on the weekend will be fresh to face a leaky Wolves defence, Isak has scored against tougher opponents such as Man Utd, Liverpool and Aston Villa.

The Swedish talisman will have his eyes on a third career goal against Wolves and with the likes of Anthony Gordon and Jacob Murphy in fine form, Isak will have no shortage of chances falling to him to help us land our tip.

Regarding our tip, some more stats to back up the pick are that when Newcastle are at home this bet lands in 44% of their games and Wolves have conceded in both halves in 50% of all their Premier League games this season.

    Inconsistent Wolves

Matheus Cunha has without a doubt been Wolves’ shining light this season scoring on 10 occasions. However the Brazilian was suspended for two matches but makes his return against The Magpies. Wolves’ games have seen the most goals in the league this season with the highest percentage of games seeing ‘Over 2.5 Match Goals’ (80%) and averaging 3.80 goals a game. Unfortunately the goals tend to fall to Wolves’ opponents as seen in their 45 goals conceded which is also a league high. Unwanted stats like these are why Gary O’Neil was sacked last month but things have turned around since their new manager has arrived with a win against Man Utd and progression to the next round of the FA Cup. However this test may be too much for Wolves who will want to avoid a goal frenzy away to Newcastle.

  • Arsenal vs Tottenham Bet Builder Free Tip:

Arsenal vs Tottenham Bet Builder Free Tip:

Arsenal will Welcome Spurs to the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night for the north London Derby.

Still the only team with their unbeaten Premier League home record intact this season, The gunners are on a mission to right their recent knockout wrongs in Wednesday’s clash at the Emirates.

While the Gunners’ FA Cup run at the weekend, Ange’s men scored three times after 90minutes against non-league Tamworth albeit only after being taken to an additional 30 minutes.

    Arsenal Loss in Form ?

The walls of the Emirates have fallen down if Arsenal’s last two home horror shows are anything to go by, as Arteta’s troops have already ceded their hopes of FA Cup glory and will surely do the same in the EFL Cup after a pair of alarmingly toothless attacking displays.

Five days on from their gut-wrenching home loss to Newcastle United in the latter competition – where they were taught a harsh lesson in attacking ruthlessness – Arsenal were left to lament another pitiful performance in front of goal against 10-man Man United, who defied the odds to keep their FA Cup title defence going.

Bayindir was the hero with two penalty saves, and Havertz was the villain with a catalogue of shocking misses on a day where Jesus was off injured  with an all-too familiar knee injury, strengthening Gooners’ arguments for a shiny new attacker in January.

However, arteta backed his existing players to dig themselves out of their hole as they endeavour to avoid losing three games in a row for the first time since January 2024; defeat in the derby could see them sit nine points below Liverpool having played a game more depending on how the Reds fare at Nottingham Forest.

Bet Builder for the game : Martin Odegaard over 0.5 shots , Solanke over 0.5 shots , kulu over 0.5 shots , under 16.5 total away shots , red card in the 1st half – no – @ 2.00 odds General

The Tottenham faithful may have enjoyed Sunday evening’s viewing, but their side’s sorry performance against National League opposition would have been an extremely painful watch, at least until their Premier League quality finally showed in extra time at the Lamb Ground.

Arsenal have an excellent home record against Tottenham and it is a big ask for the away side to come here and win. Arsenal are now the only side in the premier league to be unbeaten at home this season. All other sides in the league having dropped some points at home. Arteta will be short some players in attack with a mountain of injuries starting to add up for his squad. Saka looks to remain out for this match and a number that of the next matches with a view to a return in February.
Spurs will still be without a large portion of their regularly back four for this match.

  • Premier League | Brentford v Man City

Premier League | Brentford v Man City

Midweek Premier League football is back with Brentford hosting Man City at the Gtech Stadium. The two sides come off the back of contrasting FA Cup results. Man City hammered a sorry Salford side 8-0 whereas Brentford suffered a shock home defeat to Plymouth who are bottom of the Championship. After the Bees’ strong start to the season on home soil, they have now lost their last three in all competitions at the Gtech. We all know Man City have had a disastrous couple months by their usual high standards and this will be another tough test for them. This game screams goals to me so I’ve put together a Bet Builder for my main tip: (Over 0.5 First Half Goals & Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Match Goals) at 1.75 odds.

    Buzzing Brentford

Brentford are currently 11th place in the Premier League table with 27 points and when playing at home, are extremely strong. Their home form eclipses their away form. Brentford have seven wins at home compared to just one win on the road, they score an average of 2.70 goals at home whereas just 1.10 away. Despite strong stats, they haven’t kept a clean sheet at home all season, letting in 1.90 goals on average per game, still managing to win seven at home shows how freely they can score. With attackers such as Bryan Mbuemo and Yohan Wissa, who have 23 goals between them, Man City’s defence will need to be on top form.

The Start of The End For City?

Man City have had the season from hell as they look highly unlikely to win their 7th Premier League in a row as they sit in 6th place in the league. Liverpool who occupy first position are 12 points ahead of them and look hard to beat. After winning seven of their first nine Premier League matches, Man City looked set for another title fight, however after Rodri got injured things started to go wrong for Pep Guardiola’s side. For the first time in his managerial career, Pep lost five games in a row. They then embarrassingly let a 3-0 lead slip at home to Feyenoord drawing 3-3, in December their poor form continued losing to Liverpool, Juventus, Aston Villa and rivals Man Utd.

They have since won their last three games in all competitions but these may just be paper over the cracks, will Brentford expose their leaky defence? Recent news out of the City camp is that Kyle Walker has told Guardiola that he wants to leave the club in January so he is unlikely to feature.

    Goals Galore: The Stats

I’m backing a first half goal as Brentford have conceded in the first half in their last seven home games and Man City have had one in all 20 of their Premier League games this season. Man City also lead the league in expected goals with 1.91 xGF whilst Brentford have 1.31 however as discussed earlier this increases at home. BTTS has landed in 75% of all Brentford’s games and in 70% of Man City’s. The same percentages apply for games that see over 2.5 match goals respectively. If the stats suggest anything, it’s goals and lots of them!

Nottingham Forest host Liverpool on Tuesday Evening in the Premier League. This game is of huge significance in the premier league. Many of the home supporters will be expecting a result with how good forest have been this season.

Liverpool are on an incredible run in the premier league and will look to continue this unbeaten streak.

Facing one of the toughest tests of their Premier League title push, The away side will make the trek to the City Ground for a fascinating battle with a high-flying  home side on Tuesday night.

There are just two places and six points between the two championship contenders in the premier league as the Reds square up to one of only two teams to have outwitted so far this season.

The home side have beaten Liverpool already this season and would be another incredible statement if they could take some points off them here.

Some tiredness was perhaps evident in this last time out in the Premier League, but Arsenal’s failure to get the better of Brighton & Hove Albion allowed the Reds to maintain their six-point advantage at the summit, and still with that outstanding game in hand.

Liverpool may have been slain at Anfield by Tuesday’s hosts back in September, but the Reds possess the only unbeaten away record left in the 2024-25 Premier League and have struck at least two goals in each of their last 12 top-flight matches; five games in that sequence have come on rival territory.

However, Tuesday’s titanic tussle will see the unstoppable force of Liverpool meet the immovable object of Nottingham Forest, who made it seven wins on the spin and five clean sheets on the bounce when Luton Town paid a visit for the FA Cup third round.

December’s Premier League Manager of the Month visited his old Molineux home on January 6, where there was no love lost between Wolverhampton Wanderers and fellow former player , Gibbs-white to which Forest’s creative fulcrum responded with a seventh-minute opening goal.

Chris Wood also got in on the act as Santo’s men hit the 40-point mark for the season after just 20 games – the same tally that Arsenal boast – and the hosts are just one win away from matching their all-time best of seven straight league victories.Chris Wood has had the one of the best season of his career and could continue this going forward

Liverpool will look to win this at all costs and go further clear at the top of the table

  • Bundesliga Freiburg v Holstein Kiel Betting

Bundesliga Freiburg v Holstein Kiel Betting

The Bundesliga returns on Saturday after their Christmas break. The pause at the midway point of the season may have come at a bad time for relegation threatened Holstein Kiel who had picked up just their 2nd win of the season in an emphatic 5-1 win against Augsburg. The hosts Freiburg have had a decent season by their standards as they occupy ninth spot. However, it would be wrong to think they were rooted mid table as they are just three points away from third place as the table tightens. In this clash, I’m tipping Both Teams To Score at 1.80.

    Freiburg

The hosts have a strong record at home this season with five wins from seven. However they have only been able to keep one clean sheet in those games showing they are liable to poor defensive qualities at the back. Backing this up is their most recent result which was a 5-1 thrashing away to last season’s winners Bayer Leverkusen and shipping four goals to Borussia Dortmund earlier in the season. Freiburg have scored 21 goals in 15 league games this season averaging 2.00 goals at home. They also produce the 7th highest expected goals in the league with 1.41 xGF a game on average.

Whilst Freiburg may have their sights on European places, they need to be wary of their opposition who are fighting for their lives at the bottom of the table, they are not to be overlooked with their stats this season.

    Holstein Kiel

The visitors have had a tricky season after being promoted from the 2. Bundesliga last season as they sit in 17th spot of the table with just 8 points. Kiel have won two games, drawn two and lost 11 times which has positioned them six points from safety. Away from home, Kiel are BTTS kings with all seven of their games on the road seeing this tip land. In fact they have seen BTTS in 57% of all league games despite having the lowest xG (1.17). Their games see plenty of goals with an average of 3.80 goals a game.

However, their last game will give them hope that they can turn their season around in the 2nd half of the campaign and climb up the table. At 1.80 for a tip that has landed in 7/7 of Kiel’s away games, BTTS is great value!

  • Man City vs Salford Bet Builder

Man City vs Salford Bet Builder

The Fa Cup Returns this weekend with Manchester City taking on Salford. The two clubs are less than 5 miles away from each other.

They are separated by 64 places in the English football pyramid meet at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, as City play host to Salford City in the third round of the FA cup.

Before shifting their attention to important Premier League and Champions League fixtures later this month, the Citizens will begin their quest to win an eighth FA Cup this weekend and their third in the last seven years under Guardiola.

Last season’s losing finalists to rivals Manchester United have progressed to at least the semi-final stage of the FA Cup in each of the last six years, while they have not been eliminated from the third round since losing 3-2 to the Red Devils in 2012. Including replays, Man City have won their last 11 third-round ties by an impressive aggregate score of 46-4.

The Citizens have also had plenty of success against teams from lower divisions in domestic cup competitions, winning each of their last 24 such matches (across both the FA Cup and EFL Cup) by an aggregate score of 88-12, since losing 2-1 at home to Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup sixth round in 2018.

Salford City have made history as they have progressed to the third round of the FA Cup for the first time after beating fellow League Two side Cheltenham Town 2-0 in the second round at the end of November.

Bet Builder for the game : Savinho over 0.5 shots on target , Phil Foden over 1.5 shots , Both teams to score in the first half – no , result to be Man City , Mnoga over 0.5 fouls @ 1.90 – General

Salford are now preparing for just their third-ever meeting with Premier League opposition, having previously lost 3-0 away against Everton (2020) and 4-0 at home to Burnley (2023) in the EFL Cup.

Even though Robinson has admitted that it will be “very hard” for his in-form Salford side to keep a clean sheet in Saturday’s clash with Man City, he has insisted that his team will continue to “play the same way” against a Citizens outfit that have won each of their previous 17 matches when facing an opponent for the first time.

Man City will look to get a quick start in this game with the away side from the lower tier of English football. We would expect them to come out of the block fast.

This Salford side extended their fine run of form with a narrow 1-0 success at Robinson’s former club MK Dons last weekend, courtesy of a first-half goal from Hakeeb and they have climbed up to third in the League Two table with only two points separating themselves and second-placed Crewe Alexandra with Doncaster Rovers down in seventh spot.

  • Carabao Cup Tottenham vs Liverpool Betting

Carabao Cup Tottenham vs Liverpool Betting

Tottenham host Liverpool in the first leg of their Carabao Cup Semi-Final. It’s a big game for both teams, especially for Tottenham who are desperate for silverware after a trophy drought of 17 years.

I think that the level of opposition will be too much for this Tottenham side who are struggling with injuries, especially in defence where they make a lot of errors that lead to goals under an unapologetic Ange Postecoglou. That’s why I’m tipping over 3.5 goals in the match and Liverpool to have the most shots at 1/1.

    A Frail Tottenham Defence

In all competitions, Tottenham have conceded 14 goals in their last five games. They are also in a poor run of form in the league, they’re without a win in four games with their last victory coming against Southampton on the 15th of December.

Despite winning 4-3 against Manchester United in the last round of the Carabao Cup they still looked very shaky at the back. Goalkeeper, Fraser Forster made two mistakes which both lead to United goals in the second half. This Liverpool team will look to punish Spurs the same way.

    Shots On Goal

Tottenham have had 29 shots so far this Carabao Cup campaign, whereas Liverpool have had 46 shots so far this competition. In the last Quarter-Final, Manchester United had 20 shots while Tottenham only had nine. Liverpool faced six Southampton shots and had 14 shots at the other end in the fixture.

Liverpool striker, Darwin Nunez is likely to start against Tottenham, he is known for getting shots away and with his blistering pace this allows him to get in positions to shoot. In his 15 Premier League appearances, with eight coming off the bench he has had 21 shots. However, he did score in the last round of the Carabao Cup against Southampton in a 2-1 win so he will want to continue this in Wednesday’s game so expects shots from the Uruguay international.

    Their Previous Encounter

Liverpool beat Tottenham earlier in the season 6-3 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. It was a game where the Reds dominated and had 24 shots to Tottenham’s nine. In all of Liverpool’s last seven games they had more shots than their opponents.

Looking at both sides recently, there have been an abundance of goals. Tottenham’s last three home games have ended with over 3 goals. Liverpool’s last five away games have ended in over 3 goals which makes this tip even stronger.

Tottenham will play host to Liverpool on Wednesday night in the EFL Cup Semi-final stages. This is to be the pick of the two ties between two sides who are great going forward with lots of attacking threat.

Liverpool will look to maintain their unbeaten run in all competitions to 15 after their 2-2 draw at home to a Manchester United side who put in their best performance of the season. Liverpool who wee slightly below par in the match will want to bounce right back from that disappointing 2-2 draw.

If Postecoglou’s promises are to become reality, Tottenham must put in a much better showing than they did when Liverpool travelled to North London just before Christmas and won 6-3 in that one,

An utterly abysmal defensive performance from Spurs was symptomatic of Postecoglou’s philosophy since arriving at the club, as well as the current injury and illness crisis hitting his side.

The Spurs faithful witnessed yet another home defeat at the weekend, going down 2-1 against in-form Newcastle United, keeping them all the way in 12th, 10 points off the top six, after a run of one point from four games.

Spurs’ run has been difficult, but so has Liverpool’s, facing Premier League clubs in every round – thrashing West Ham in round three, before getting the better of Brighton and Southampton in close encounters.

After two straight domestic draws, that win over Southampton in the last round kickstarted a four-game winning run, but that was ended at the weekend by a resurgent Man United, who went to Anfield and left with a draw.

Fortunately for Liverpool, Arsenal dripped some more points at the Amex, so they were able to maintain their six-point lead at the top despite only managing one point themselves.

With 19 games now played, if Liverpool can replicate their performance from the first half of the season, they will finish on 92 points, and almost certainly claim a second Premier League title in five years.

A run to the semi-finals this season is already a huge improvement on their showings across the last two campaigns, where they went out in rounds two and three, and they have done so with arguably the toughest run of any club.

Spurs have had to eliminate both Manchester clubs to get this far, including a 4-3 thriller over Manchester United in the last round, with a fifth EFL Cup crown now a real possibility.

Standing in their way though, are runaway Premier League leaders and EFL Cup holders Liverpool, who have made this competition their own in recent years.

The EFL cup returns this week with the semi-finals taking a place between Arsenal and Newcastle at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.

Both bosses will be fielding strong teams to ensure they give themselves a good platform to progress to the final.

Arsenal will still be without star man Bukayo Saka for this game and it will likely mean another start for young Ethan Nwaneri who made his way off at half time at the weekend vs Brighton at the Amex.

For Newcastle they continue to progress in the premier league with a 2-1 win in the early kick off on Saturday. With starman Alex Isak on the scoresheet once more after some Lady Luck helped him to steer the ball home.

Newcastle sit fifth in the premier league standings and have really stepped up in recent weeks.

Arsenal are in second place in the table after their score draw vs Brighton 1-1 at the weekend. Arsenal have a good record in the past and Arsenal are unbeaten in their last 13 matches in all competitions. With their last defeat coming in the UEFA Champions league to inter Milan.

  • Premier League | Liverpool vs Manchester United

Premier League | Liverpool vs Manchester United

Mohamed Salah is among the best Liverpool players of the 2022-23 season

    Liverpool Flying High

We’re set for a game full of goals at Anfield this Sunday as Liverpool welcome Man United. The Reds have scored in both halves in their last three Premier League games, they’ve achieved this in 11 out of a possible 18 games so far this season. I’m tipping Liverpool to score in both halves at 1.80.

Liverpool are the leagues top scorers with an impressive 45 goals. They showed their goalscoring capabilities again in the reverse fixture at Old Trafford earlier in the season, where they scored in both halves.

Despite transfer rumours from Real Madrid for Trent Alexander Arnold. Liverpool boss, Arne Slot has confirmed that the English right back will be involved on Sunday. Trent continues to show why Liverpool need to keep him as he scored a spectacular long range goal against West Ham last week.

The Egyptian King, Mo Salah has been in the form of his life currently being the Premier League’s top scorer with 17 and tops the assists table with 13. He has also both scored and assisted in the most games in a single Premier League season with eight and we are only in January. Will we see him shine again and add to his 12 Premier League goals against the Red Devils?

    Man United’s Poor Form

It has been a tough start for United boss, Ruben Amorim and even more difficult of late, losing their last three games. Their last win came against rivals Manchester City with two late goals from Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo. However, it wasn’t the turning point they were after.

The last time Man United kept a clean sheet was in their 4-0 win at home to Everton at the beginning of December, they have played in six league games since then. This highlights the defensive issues that they’re facing and increases the likelihood of them conceding in both halves at Anfield.

Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte are welcomed back to the side after both serving suspensions but will bolster their chances in the midfield against a strong Liverpool side. Joe Gomez’s injury is set to keep him out of action for several weeks, but Conor Bradley and Ibrahima Konate are scheduled to resume full training on Friday and might be included on Sunday.
