Arsenal host Paris Saint-Germain at the Emirates tonight in their biggest Champions League game since their 2009 semi-final elimination to Manchester United. It should be a great watch tonight with both teams showing great attacking football all season. Recently, two players in particular have shown plenty of offensive talent with huge success, so I’m tipping Declan Rice to have 1+ shots & Ousmane Dembélé to have 1+ shots on target at 1.80.
Rice Has an Eye for Goal
Rice has become a key attacking threat for Arsenal this season. He’s taken one or more shots in 18 of his last 22 home games and he’s averaged 1.4 shots per game in the Champions League so far.
Across 11 Champions League matches, he’s had 15 shots including six against Real Madrid with four on target across the two legs. He’s likely to be involved in set pieces again tonight, just like he was at the Emirates against Madrid, where he unbelievably scored two incredible free kicks.
He’s also scored three in his last three games, including the second leg against PSV. With at least one shot in each of his last four outings, Rice looks like will create a lot more chances for himself with him deep runs from midfield in front of an exciting Emirates crowd.
Dembélé’s Constant Threat
Dembélé has been one of PSG’s most influential players this season, especially in away games. He’s registered at least one shot on target in 17 of his last 19 away appearances in Ligue 1 and the Champions League.
He’s averaging 1.6 shots on target per game in Europe this season, with 19 total in 12 matches. He also showed his threat in Ligue 1 recently, having seven shots (three on target) against Nice, as they suffered their first defeat of the domestic season after 31 games.
With 32 goals in all competitions including seven in the Champions League, Dembélé knows how to deliver on big nights. He’s also proven himself at hostile English grounds, having scored at Anfield against Liverpool in the quarter finals. Over his last five matches, he’s produced five shots on target, showing strong form ahead the game against the Gunners.
Rice is a constant presence from midfield and from set-pieces, while Dembélé is always a threat on the counter and in tight spaces. At odds of 1.80, our two-leg bet builder looks great on paper for tonight’s huge game at the Emirates.
