Nations League MD4 betting

After a fortnight of Nations League action, Matchday 4 see June’s mini tournament come to an end as the final round of games are crammed between Sunday and Tuesday, before MD5 and MD6 take place later in the year.

With the half-way mark of the competition now reached, firstly, Group 3 of League A looks delicately poised, with just three points separating Italy, Hungary, Germany and England, who sit bottom.

Germany’s second game with Italy in Monchengladbach is arguably the tie of MD4. The hosts have drawn all three of their games 1-1 thus far and Die Mannschaft – like many teams right now it must be said – are still finding their feet in this very different of World Cup years. With the Azzurri having drawn two of their three games also – including MD1’s reverse fixture in Bologna – another stalemate could be on the cards. For that to occur 14/5 value with SkyBet and QuinnBet looks just that, or, for Germany to record a fourth consecutive 1-1 draw, a 6/1 price with most bookies could be canny investment.

Over at Wembley, the Three Lions are in dire need of a win not only to jump up the table but to ward off fears of relegation to League B. After Hungary picked up their first win over England in 60 years earlier this month, revenge will be on the menu and we are backing the still poorly-performing hosts to get three points here. Carrying rather surprising 3/10 odds, for BTTS and England to win fetches greater rewards however, at 11/4 with Betway and Bet365.

Group 1 of the top tier is surely the most fascinating pool, as Denmark sit top ahead of both Austria and Croatia, whilst world champions France prop up the standings without a win. France’s home clash with Croatia and Austria’s meeting with Denmark in Copenhagen on Sunday evening then, look pivotal. Les Bleus will be looking to Karim Benzema to carry them home to a win, whilst the Danes will be pinning their hopes on Christian Eriksen to maintain their leadership in the table. A scorer double for the two, can be snagged at 9/1 with SkyBet.

In Group 2 of League C, the top two meet in Volos as Greece welcome Kosovo looking to make a big step toward promotion. Another of the Nations League in-form men is skipper Anastasios Bakasetas who has scored in all his country’s games this term including MD2’s game in Pristina. The number 10 is 5/2 to score anytime or 6/1 to net first – both prices again with SkyBet.

Another game in League C you might not have your eye on but should is Sunday’s teatime meeting in Group 4, as Georgia host Bulgaria. Perhaps the surprise package of the entire competition so far, the normally timid Crusaders have become wholly prolific under former French full-back Willy Sagnol’s guidance and average four goals a game in Group 4. Putting five past Bulgaria in Sofia during MD2, could Tbilisi again stage a goal fest?

The Georgians look unlikely to step away from their front-foot ways right now and again, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has netted in every Group game up to now. With penalty duties also, 12/5 odds with PaddyPower and Betfair look good to land for the striker to bring home a win for punters. For goals more widely meanwhile, over 2.5 can be had at 11/10 with BetVictor and PariMatch. Further considering Bulgaria’s need for a result also, one more at over 3.5 is a very decent 14/5 with UniBet.

Finally, we turn to the very bottom of the Group pyramid as Moldova entertain Andorra. The latter have won five games since last September and after one of their biggest wins in their history at home to Liechtenstein, will fancy scoring in Chisinau. For BTTS in this one, SBK can oblige at 39/29.
