UEFA Champions League | Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich

Entertaining first leg

The second leg of this clash takes place at the Bernabeu to see who will join Borussia Dortmund in the 2024 Champions League final at Wembley. In the 1st leg, we were highly entertained with a 2-2 draw that saw some defence splitting passes, penalties and fantastic finishing. I’m backing goals again here with Both Teams To Score & Over 2.5 Match Goals at the tempting price of 1.80.

Bayern’s fire power

Bayern have had a domestic campaign to forget failing to win the Bundesliga for the first time in 11 years and they’re away form has been a cause for concern. They have won just three of their last 10 league games away conceding in all of those and shipping two or more in eight of those matches.

The summer signing of former Spurs striker Harry Kane has been a saving Grace for the side however even with his goals they haven’t been able to produce results that once made them so successful. However, they have been the league’s top scorers this season with 90 goals in 32 games so attacking doesn’t seem to be the issue at Bayern Munich.

Confident Madrid

Real Madrid won La Liga on the weekend thanks to Girona beating Barcelona handing Los Blancos the title. They can now focus their full attention on the Champions League and at home against a nervous travelling Bayern side. They will be confident in reaching the final.

As seen in Real’s first leg quarter final clash with Man City which saw a spectacular 3-3 draw, they can be frail defensively and have seen BTTS in their last four Champions League games and whilst having the home advantage, Bayern will need to finish their chances. Expect a thrilling game to see who will face Dortmund in the 2023/24 Champions League Final.
