The 2024 Euros kick off on Friday and I’m expecting to see a lively tournament with goals galore. Who have I got down as my favourite players to score the most goals? Here are my top three picks for the Golden Boot winner of the tournament.
Kylian Mbappe- 5.50
Starting with the favourite, Kylian Mbappe who won the Golden Boot in the 2022 Qatar World Cup. In his last season with the PSG he scored 44 goals in all competitions. He had an impressive return in European Qualifiers with nine goals in eight games. With odds of 5.50 this is great value for a proven player on the biggest stage.
Harry Kane- 6.50
Our next player is Harry Kane who made his move to Bayern Munich from Tottenham last summer. He didn’t get to lift his first trophy but was certainly amongst the goals. Kane scored the most goals ever by a player in their first Bundesliga season with 36 goals. He has also proven he replicate this on the international stage by being England’s record top goalscorer with 52 goals including eight at the recent European Qualifiers.
Cristiano Ronaldo- 13.00

Now playing his football in Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo has continued his natural eye for goal with a record number of goals this season. He also managed to get the Golden Boot in Euro 2020 with five goals. Portugal also see plenty of high scoring matches with the quality of their attack chances aren’t hard to come by. Ronaldo is also on penalty duty and with this potentially being his last international tournament, he’ll want to end on a high.
