The 196th North London Derby
The first North London Derby of the season takes place on Sunday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Arsenal head into this game with notable absences which have put them in a much weaker position going into this clash. Spurs come off the back of a frustrating loss to Newcastle where they should have got all three points. This game could end up being pivotal for both sides’ seasons.
I’m backing two players to have a Shot on Target at combined odds of 2.30. Hueng-Min Son and Bukayo Saka are my two players I’m backing to hit the target.
Home Comfort for Son
It’s safe to say that Son is a better player when on home turf. He gets more involved and seems to play with more confidence and freedom. The South Korean has had at least 1 SOT in his last six Premier League home games including three in his last home game where he also scored twice. Compare this to his away performances, where he struggles to make an impact as seen in four of his last six league games on the road where Son doesn’t even register a shot.
The North London Derby is a fixture Son tends to score in too with three goals against the Gunners last season. On his own, Son is 1.66 to have a shot on target which is very generous, however I can’t help but include Saka in this bet.
Saka’s Favourite Fixture
Arsenal’s star boy has started this season off with real intent. He has a goal and three assists to his name so far and has looked the Gunners’ biggest threat on the attack. With Martin Odegaard injured during international duty and Declan Rice suspended, Saka will need to be Arsenal’s creative outlet more than before.
In terms of Saka’s shot on target stats he has registered seven already this season and has had at least one in his last eight Premier League games. This fixture is also one Saka loves playing in, similarly to Son, the Arsenal winger scored in both fixtures last season.
You can get both players to score at odds of 9.00 which I’m also backing!
