Ipswich Town host Leicester City at Portman Road on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League. It feels early to suggest this, but this is certainly setup for a ‘six-pointer’. The two newly-promoted sides will both feel this is a game where they can come away with a crucial three points.
Ipswich have drawn 4/9 Premier League games and are still seeking their first win. They have managed to score in 6/9 of these games and in four out of their last five. New signing Liam Delap has been impressive so far this season with five goals already to his name and looks like he will be a key player if the Tractor Boys are going to survive. Worryingly for Ipswich, they have the second-worst defence in the league conceding 20 goals, giving the away side encouragement.
Leicester have showed glimpses this season that they can compete in the top-flight with just two defeats in their last six league games. Jamie Vardy has looked a threat with 4 goals to his name this season. Facundo Buonanotte, on loan from Brighton, has been impressive for the Foxes registering three goals and two assists, often the main threat for the visitors this term. Perhaps somewhat incredibly, Leicester have scored in every game this season which will encourage boss Steve Cooper. However, they have kept just a single clean sheet this campaign.
With the importance of this fixture and both sides’ defensive frailties and evident attacking talent, this fixture looks very well setup for BTTS. Ipswich have seen BTTS land in 6/9 league games this season. Leicester have seen BTTS in 8/9 games. Interestingly, both encounters between these two sides last season ended in a 1-1 draw, and we could be in for another tight game this time around.
TIP: Both Teams to Score & Goal Range 1-4 @ 2.05 (Bet365)
