Brentford make the short 20-minute drive to Craven Cottage to play Fulham on Monday night in the Premier League. Both sides have surprised this season and certainly impressed. Only one point separates the two sides going into this game, in a game that has great potential for goals and action.
The Bees have arguably been the most entertaining team in top-flight this season, remarkably, scoring and conceding 18 goals in their nine league games – averaging 4.00 match goals per game. They’ve seen BTTS land in nine consecutive games in all competitions. In the league this season, Brentford have seen BTTS in 8/9 league games, only failing to score against Liverpool at Anfield.
The hosts, Fulham, have also shown similar trends this campaign. Marco Silva’s men have seen BTTS land in seven of their last eight league games. They will have plenty of chances here at home on the Thames. Only Leicester have conceded more shots this campaign than Brentford, averaging 18 shots conceded per game. Fulham will play on the front foot and continue with great confidence. However, Brentford will cause plenty of problems themselves.
A big reason for Fulham’s impressive goalscoring form is Raul Jimenez. The Mexican has shown a fantastic return to form – scoring four goals in his last six. He’s been posting some really good numbers.
