Premier League | Brighton vs Man United | Tip

Brighton host Man United in the early kick off today for Fabian Hurzeler’s first game in front of the home fans. Both teams won on the opening weekend of the season and will be seeking back to back Premier League wins.

Both sides possess plenty of quality in their attacking ranks. The likes of Mitoma, Joao Pedro, Minteh make Brighton a danger to any defence in the league. Equally, the high line Brighton played against Everton could give the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Alejandro Garnacho and Joshua Zirkzee a chance to use their speed and cretivity in behind to exploit the Brighton defence. I expect both sides to play on the front foot, potentially giving us a very open end-to-end game here.

The Seagulls came out on top in an impressive 3-0 win at Everton on matchday 1. They recorded an xG of 1.30 with 10 shots and 3 big chances created throughout the game. An encouraging attacking display was on show in Fabian Hürzeler’s opening game as Brighton manager giving an indication that there is plenty more to come. Man United beat Fulham 1-0 at Old Trafford with new signing Joshua Zirkzee scoring the winner late on. They registered an xG of 1.5 and had 14 goal attempts with 5 shots on target.

Brighton saw BTTS land in 13/19 home games last season. They scored in front of their home fans in 15/19 games, conceding in 16/19 of these.  As for Man United, they scored in 14/19 away games last season and also conceded in 14/19 games.

I think we could be in for goals here in the early kick-off today. 2 sides with abundances of attacking talent, however I don’t trust either to keep a clean sheet.
