Premier League | Arsenal vs Brighton

Arsenal player, Ben White

Arsenal welcome Brighton to the Emirates Stadium for Saturday’s Premier League lunchtime kick-off.

Both teams have started their seasons with maximum points from their first two games.
Our expert tip today is in the player foul market and looks like a value pick for a player who has committed three fouls in his first two games this season and will be up against a tricky player.

Today’s tip is Ben White to commit a foul at 1.72.

Ben White Fouls

Ben White comes up against his former club, Brighton, where he impressed with his consistent performances in the 2020/2021 season, which attracted Arsenal to bring him to North London. He faces Kaoru Mitoma, Brighton’s most dangerous player and a man back in form.

With his direct approach, I think Ben White will have a tricky afternoon against the Japanese international. One of Mitoma’s biggest strengths is his pace on the ball which White will struggle with, potentially leading to him committing at least one foul. Mitoma has also been fouled three times in his first two games this season.

Preview

The Gunners have had a strong start to their Premier League campaign with 2-0 wins against Wolves and Aston Villa. It took them a while to break the deadlock last weekend at Villa Park, however, they managed to hang on for the three points with David Raya pulling off some world-class saves.

In the last five matches between both sides, Arsenal have won three times to Brighton’s two. Last season, Arsenal did the double over Brighton with a 2-0 win at home and a 3-0 win at the AMEX Stadium. However, in the 2022/2023 season, The Seagulls beat Arsenal 3-0 on the road, so they are capable of pulling out a result.

Brighton are coming off the back of a huge late win against Manchester United, via Joao Pedro’s last-minute winner. They also convincingly beat Everton 3-0 in their first game of the new season. We have to mention 33-year-old Danny Welbeck who has started his season strongly with a goal in each of his first two games. He will want to continue his goal-scoring form against his former side on Saturday.
