Portugal will be desperate to get back to winnings ways after a slip up vs Croatia on Saturday. Albeit, I don’t think head coach Roberto Martinez will be too concerned. They played well enough to perhaps win the game, in what was a very open game, ending in a 2-1 defeat to Croatia.
Portugal start their Euros campaign in exactly 1 week vs Czech Republic. Before their loss at the weekend, Portugal had won 13 of their 14 games in a superb run of form. I think they will get back to winning ways here vs Ireland.
Portugal should have a lot of the ball here and create a lot of chances. I’m expecting Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva, Jota, Vitinha, Raphael Leao etc. all to be involved. With this, I think they will also accumulate a nice number of corners.
