Wembley Welcomes Carsley
After England beat the Republic of Ireland 2-0 on Saturday night, their attention turns to Finland at Wembley on Tuesday Night. Ironically, Declan Rice and Jack Grealish were both on the scoresheet which added to the already hostile atmosphere. The two goal scorers switched allegiances from Republic of Ireland to England. However, in the second Nations League of the group, I predict England v Finland to be a calmer affair. I can see this game going a similar way to the weekend’s result. I’m backing England to Win to Nil at 1.66.
Harry Kane’s Century
Harry Kane will earn his 100th cap if he features on Tuesday night. An incredible accomplishment for the nation’s all time top goal scorer. All eyes in Wembley will be on the England captain, it’s only right he gets his 100th cap in front of his home fans in the stadium he has scored some memorable goals in. England v Finland will give the Bayern forward the chance to grab his 67th goal. It feels written in the stars that Kane will find the back of the net.
England’s Opponents- Finland
England’s opponents had a poor start to the Nations League campaign with a 3-0 defeat to Greece. Finland will struggle to create chances against England as their most noteable striker Teemu Pukki started on the bench on Saturday. Surprisingly, Finland have seen 3+ goals in their last nine games. Goals look inevitable in this one with Harry Kane leading the way on his 100th appearance.
