Emirates FA Cup final | Manchester City vs Manchester United

The FA Cup Final

Manchester City v Man Utd awaits Wembley Stadium which hosts a Manchester Derby in The Emirates FA Cup Final on Saturday afternoon. The game being the last of the 2023/24 season for both sides. The rivalry will boost an already electric atmosphere for the final. The mood will hype up the players and I’m backing Phil Foden to score anytime at the generous price of 2.40.

Fantastic Phil

One of City’s star players, Phil Foden has had a remarkable season with 27 goals and 11 assists in all competitions. He has netted six goals in his last five games against Manchester United, including a brace last time they met. The Premier League Player of the Season will want to end the campaign with a second club trophy. His impressive form has been emphatic and didn’t show signs of letting up near the end of the season. Recording 10 goal involvements in his last nine appearances in all competitions.

FA Cup Form

Manchester United’s FA Cup route to the final has been far from straightforward. An extra time win against Liverpool and a penalty shoot-out victory against Coventry after giving away a three-goal lead in normal time. United will have to continue their lucky streak in the competition if they’re to beat the six-time Premier League Champions. United’s hopes will be boosted by the return of Lisandro Martinez in defence, who should strengthen their back line against City’s attack.

Man City haven’t had their usual easy ride to the FA Cup final either. Scoring late winners in the fourth round against Spurs and in the semi-final courtesy of Bernardo Silva against Chelsea. However, they have conceded just twice in this year’s competition demonstrating their defensive stability.

Finishing the Season Strong

Manchester City have just won their sixth Premier League title with an unbeaten run dating back to December. Man United have also picked up form in the last two games of the season. Beating two tough sides in Newcastle and Brighton. Erling Haaland picked up the Premier League golden boot for the second season in a row with 27 goals. Whilst Bruno Fernandes and Rasmus Hojlund finished the campaign with 10 goals each. Whenever these two meet, it is always entertaining and this game will be no different.
