Man City’s Form
We are fast approaching the final stages of the season and Pep Guardiola has stated that Manchester City will need to be perfect in order to win the Premier League title this season. They cannot afford to drop a single point but I don’t see them having troubles at home. That’s why I’m taking Man City to win both halves at 1.80.
Man City have breezed past their opposition in last two games at The Etihad beating Aston Villa and Luton Town 4-1 and 5-1 respectively. In these games, Man City won both halves comfortably as Pep’s side always tend to do at this stage in the campaign. At home, City score on average 2.53 goals a game conceding just 0.82 goals showing their strength in front of their home support.
Things are coming back together at the perfect time with Kevin De Bruyne hitting the ground running since coming back from injury. With little injury concerns, they have a full squad with plenty of talent and experience so the Premier League trophy is in Man City’s hands and is there’s to lose. Erling Haaland will be looking to return to the starting 11 after being rested against Brighton adding an unstoppable threat when he is on top form.
Can Wolves pull off another upset?
On the other hand, Wolves sit in 11th place after an impressive season however since their Premier League status has been kept until the next campaign. They have won just once in their last seven games showing complacency. Surprisingly, in the reverse fixture, Wolves did manage to beat City 2-1 at The Molineux but the narrative around this game is very different as the stakes are much higher for Man City and when it’s time to perform, Guardiola’s side usually do.
