La Liga | Las Palmas vs Real Madrid

Real Madrid vs Valladolid

Build-Up

Las Palmas host European Giants, Real Madrid on tonight. Los Blancos will want to pick up three points as they currently sit 5th in the table after dropping points against Mallorca in the first game of the LaLiga season.

Real Madrid have scored two or more goals against Las Palmas in all of their last eight games. Scoring in both halves on six occasions. That’s why I’m going for Real Madrid to score in both halves at 2.00.

Star-Studded Los Blancos

In what will be a common theme this season, all eyes will be on new signing, Kylian Mbappe who made his long-anticipated move from PSG this summer. He scored on his competitive debut against Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup, however is yet to find the net in the league. Can he pick up his first La Liga goal against Las Palmas? Unfortunately, Real Madrid will be without Jude Bellingham after picking up a muscle injury which leaves him side lined for a month.

Real Madrid had a disappointing start to their league campaign with a draw to Mallorca. However, they got back to winning ways by scoring three goals against Valladolid which included a first goal for their other new signing Endrick.

Las Palmas’ La Liga Form

Las Palmas are currently 15th place in La Liga after two games. Their season opener ended 2-2 at home to Sevilla, where they needed to fight back twice to earn a point. They are still yet to put three points on the board with a 2-1 loss against Leganes, where their goal was a 93rd minute consolation.

I think Real Madrid will have too much attacking threat for the Gran Canaria side who will struggle with the likes of Mbappe and Vinicius Junior. The home side also has a poor record against Real with only two points picked up in their last eight games.
