We’re in the end of the season and the last tournament before this year’s RMR begins. So there probably won’t be much that makes sense right now. Natus Vincere got smashed by Astralis. A match that didn’t make any sense. Faze on the other hand played right up against Mouz. A match Faze could have won. Faze lost some stupid rounds. Looking at the first maps in round 1, Faze looked the best without them being crazy wild or anything.
Arguments for playing the tip:
- Map 1 should very well be Faze pick. It is of course a good thing being on your own pick.
- There’re several maps where I could see Faze teasing Navi. Inferno is by far a favorite of mine if Faze should win own map pick.
- I don’t know if Navi is taking this tournament as a practice break and takes the 2 defeats to get out and prepare for the RMR. But they looked terrible in the first match against Astralis. Would say Astralis was great, but instead Navi was 100% horrible.
- Faze needs to fuel up on confidence and the Navi match could be a part of that. Looking at the first 2 matches this could be a very even one.
- Faze most definitely has the individuals to tease Navi.
- Surprisingly enough Faze has played up to Navi in 2024.
Keep an eye on:
- If Navi hits their A-game, Faze doesn’t stand a chance.
- Faze isn’t the good old Faze. It’s a core that in my opinion is dead. I don’t see these 5 guys play together in 2025 – so do they have some spirit in them?
- Navi is the one team in the world that has hit the shape. They win titles after titles. Jetlag or not I’ll refuse to believe they’ll take this tournament “as a free ride”.
- Individually and firepower are two aspects where Navi is better. They’ve got 4 guys with crazy stats. If 2-3 players hit a level, then Faze doesn’t stand a chance.
