Falcons against Virtus Pro are usually close matches where all 3 maps are in play. They’re at the moment two really bad teams where their shape is more up and down than the big wheel in London. I do, however, believe Falcons has an advantage here. Even though both teams are dead, Falcons looks like a team that still fights. There are several players on the team that must show their worth.
Arguments for playing the tip:
– The two teams have met each other 5 times in 2024, and Falcons has won their own map pick 4/5 times. They succeed in winning their own pick the last 4/4 times.
– I would be surprised if we don’t see Vertigo in play. It’s by far the worst map for Virtus Pro. They don’t play well on Vertigo.
– on the other hand, it is Falcons best map. If we ended up on Anubis it’s fine by me and this tip.
– Virtus Pro played a fine easy match against Red Canids, but their “normal” game returned against Liquid. Terrible performance both individually and tactically. Virtus Pro is just a dead lineup in every way possible. They lack ideas and solutions.
– There isn’t one player at Virtus Pro that performs at the moment. Everybody’s stats have taken a turn for the worse. They all have a rating just above 1.0. It’s historically bad despite the players they have on the team. At Falcons I do believe some of the players has stepped up and raised their level.
Keep an eye on:
– The two teams have played head-to-head on Vertigo and the smallest things has been a decided factor on who has winning. (Except the last one)
– Falcons won and easy match against Atox, but Atox?! Without that victory they would have joined this match with a 6-defeat streak.
– At Falcons they know that this core is running on the last gas. Will that effect their play?
– As already mentioned, it’s two teams in bad shape. It can easily be a messy match. On paper Virtus Pro has a team that can easily beat Falcons
