Friday night’s Championship action brings us Luton v QPR and Kenilworth Road.
This will be the second time the two sides have met this week, after the west Londoners progressed on penalties. Luton will want revenge tonight, however their poor start to life back in the second tier will make it difficult. I’m expecting Both Teams to Score and at 1.80, that’s a price I’m taking.
QPR
QPR have had a similarly poor start to the season with just two points from three games. They’ve picked up draws against Plymouth and Sheffield United whilst losing the opening game of the season to West Brom. QPR will need to pick up a win sooner rather than later if they are to avoid a relegation battle this campaign. The R’s have seen both teams to score in all three league games and I’m backing a similar result as on Tuesday night to occur again.
Luton
After relegation from the Premier League, the Hatters were one of the favourites to bounce back, but their start to the season has been sluggish at best, currently second bottom of the Championship. They have one point and need to pick up a result as soon as possible, scoring just once and conceding five times in three matches. After their Cup loss on Tuesday, their season is crumbling before a month is out. In their Bedfordshire home, Luton will need a result here but I don’t think they’ll keep a clean sheet.
This could will be a tense but equally entertaining match, I can see goals and cards here.
