Euro 2024 | Germany vs Denmark

Germany's Jamal Musiala

For a Place in the Quarter Finals

The hosts, Germany take on Group C runners-up, Denmark in a thrilling round of 16 clash. Germany will want to make a statement on Saturday after a surprising draw to Switzerland in game week 3.

Their star man, Jamal Musiala has been immense so far and will be a huge threat to the Swiss backline. He is joint top scorer for Germany alongside Niclas Fullkrug with two goals and is expected to contribute more in the knockouts. That’s why I’m backing Jamal Musiala to score or assist at 2.05.

Denmark’s Undefeated Run

Denmark picked up three points in the group stage which included an impressive 1-1 draw against England, one of the tournament favourites.
Christian Eriksen has played a vital role so far for Denmark with a goal in the first game against Slovenia and a man of the match performance against Serbia. Overall, the Danes showed their solidarity by only conceding two goals in the three games. They will need to continue this form to stand any chance of beating Germany.

How will Germany Line up?

Julian Nagelsmann, the German Manager will have a defensive headache for their game on Saturday with Jonathan Tah suspended after picking up two yellow cards and Antonio Rudiger a doubt with a thigh injury. The only other central defender who has played this tournament is Nico Schlotterbeck who is expected to start. However, goals for this team are not an issue with eight in the group stage, two coming from Niclas Fullkrug. Should he start against Denmark?
