EFL Championship | Millwall vs Watford | Tip

Millwall host Watford on the opening weekend of the Championship season tomorrow. Two sides here, who weren’t renowned for goals last season, I’m expecting a low-scoring cagey game.

Watford have lost Ismael Kone and look set to lose Yaser Asprilla. Two very important players for Watford, who’s absence will be hard to adjust to and replace. Millwall ended the season very strong at home. They won 5 of their last 6 home league games, drawing the other. Interestingly, for this bet, Millwall won 1-0 in 4 of these.

Watford have failed to score in any of their previous three visits to the Den. This will not give the Hornets too much confidence going into this game.

Millwall averaged 0.98 goals per game last season, with an average of 2.17 match goals per game in the league. Millwall saw Under 2.5 Match Goals in last 11/14 home games.
I am expecting a low scoring game, with a 1-0 or 1-1 standing a good chance. With Watford losing some key players in summer, paired with Millwall’s good home form I think:
